The Lacroix group officially launched its Symbiose project for an electronics factory of the future at Bpifrance premises. The company has invested 25 million euros in the project, including 15 million euros contributed by the public bank.
The Lacroix group have previously stated that they wished to be at the forefront of Industry 4.0 and, as such, the factory should be operational in Beaupréau-en-Mauges (Maine-et-Loire) by 2021 with the laying of the first stone planned for spring 2020. The site will cover an area of 16,000 m2 and will have 6 production lines, including one reserved for large automated series.
Bpifrance, through the SPI fund and Lacroix Group, via its subsidiary Lacroix Electronics, have created a joint venture in order to implement this project. They are committed to accelerating the transition from the Lacroix Electronics site to Industry 4.0.
Lacroix Group will thus be well-prepared to face the challenges of the electronic sector thanks to this new site and by setting the foundations for the industry of the future, with the profound renewal of the production processes and the implication of the the entire value chain (suppliers, employees, customers and partners).
