Alfa Laval to kit out North Sea petrol platform

Alfa Laval, a world leader in heat transfer, separation and fluid handling, announced today that it has won a contract for an order of Framo power generation systems for an oil platform located in the Johan Sverdrup field, off the coast of Norway in the North Sea.

The order, which is scheduled for delivery in 2016 through the Marine & Offshore pumping systems department, amounts to just over €10 million and includes the delivery of emergency generators to the platform, now managed by Statoil.

Lars Renström, the president and CEO of Alfa Laval, welcomed the news, stating “I am very pleased to announce this significant order for our Framo range. These reliable products meet the high demands from the oil and gas industry.”

Framo, a company acquired by Alfa Laval in 2014, has been a supplier of electric emergency generators in the oil industry for over 20 years.
