Alfa Laval, the Swedish-based world leader in heat transfer, separation and fluid handling, has announced it has been awarded a contract to supply a US liquefied natural gas plant with heat exchangers. The order, which amounts to €6.5 million, is scheduled for delivery in 2016 by the company’s Energy & Process segment.

The contract will see heat exchangers installed in a new American processing and liquefaction facility and will help, according to Alfa Laval, the plant become energy-efficient as heat will be recovered and reused in the gas-cleaning process.

Lars Renström, the president and CEO of Alfa Laval, commented on the contract, stating “This is an order from an oil and gas customer in the US, to whom we have delivered similar equipment on a previous occasion. Being a repeat order, it confirms that we live up to the expectations on product quality and order execution set by the major players in the industry.”
