A hundred entrepreneurs, developers, engineers and designers came together this weekend to the IO Factory to participate in a race against time. Dalkia and its partner Intent Technologies, gave each entrant 48 hours to devise new applications connected with building services. A prize of € 15,000 and the opportunity of seeing their product commercially developed and marketed was at stake for the winning teams. The five application prototypes selected by the jury will be developed in the next two months to become real finished products.
The hackathon was organized jointly by Dalkia and Intent Technologies, which was aimed at developing new applications to support the various players in the building industry (the connected resident, janitors, owners and tenants , condominiums, technicians …), and started on the evening of February the 5th . After welcoming the participants, thirty project leaders briefly presented their ideas and they then assembled their teams from among the hundred participants present. Intensive work then began, accompanied by personalized coaching sessions, presentations startups deserving, technical support available 24/24 for the web / mobile development and creation / design and coaching from mentors throughout the weekend.
The two hosts hope that their hackathon will help accelerate the digital transformation of an entire sector based on an open platform and a growing community of developers interested in the theme of the connected building.
