The Dispensing and Weighing Isolator by Comecer is a compact containment system specifically designed for dispensing and weighing activities involving micronized highly potent substances (such as progesterone with an OEL of 0.01 mg/m³). This isolator ensures a highly controlled environment, protecting both the operator and the laboratory environment from exposure to volatile active ingredients while maintaining the integrity of the handled product.

The isolator is structured into two distinct compartments: a pre-chamber for material inlet and a main chamber dedicated to dispensing operations. The system is fully controlled by a PLC with software compliant with GAMP 5 standards.
Environmental control is provided by several advanced features:
- Filtration: Each chamber is equipped with a single-stage inlet filtration inside the box, a first-stage outlet filtration also inside, and a second-stage outlet filtration outside.
- Fluid Management: A special CIP (Clean In Place) system includes spray balls, spray guns, and a solvent mixing system. An on-board Drying In Place system is also supplied with independent heaters.
- Monitoring: Real-time sensors monitor internal humidity and temperature, while Magnahelic and Jumo manometers control internal pressure and filter obstruction.
- Transfer: A 380 mm diameter continuous liner port facilitates the exit of large storage drums, and an integrated Hycoflex® system in the main chamber allows for the safe removal of the dispensed product.
- Traceability: A Eurotherm paperless recorder captures all critical process data, including temperature, humidity, and chamber pressure.
This isolator is primarily used for:
