Making progress with Digitising European Industry

Günther H. Oettinger, European Commissioner for Digital, has just published an article on his blog to announce the first steps of an action plan entitled "Digitalisation of the European Industry" (Digitising European industry).   This action plan, which aims to establish links between regional and national actions in order to give weight to individual initiatives based on four pillars: improving the European digital leadership, prepare employees for the digital transition, identify regulations smart for industry and help companies transition.   It was during a round table, bringing together over 70 representatives from industry, associations, European states and experts of the subject GH Oettinger claims to have received a clear message: "there is a pressing need to act together to take advantage of technological advances offered by digital.   According to the Commissioner, this plan could be presented at the Hanover industrial fair, from 25 to 29 April.
