Nokia has announced that it is to host a webinar focusing on the ever-developing world of high speed mobile networks. The webinar is entitled Connecting the World with Nokia Microwave Long-haul and is available on demand and will last a total of one hour. Nokia revealed that the webinar is designed to look at the importance of updating networks, particularly in rural areas. The company is recognisant of the fact that the ever-increasing demand for high speed networks and the way in which we connect with the world means that rural areas are in danger of being left behind as new technology continues to advance apace. To combat this Nokia has launched a new product which it believes will ensure that previously underserved rural regions will have equal access to high speed networks. The technology behind this new product is based on Nokia's longstanding portfolio of long-haul microwave technology which has been enhanced to support rural backhaul connectivity. The webinar is set to cover the updated Nokia solution and will feature the product launch as well as investigating how solutions such as these are put into practice by service providers and private network operators. The webinar will be moderated by Scott Thompson, General Manager of the Americas, Wireless Transmission for Nokia and the main speaker is James Ries, Senior Product Manger, Mobile Networks Nokia.
