Siemens push on with Industry 2.0

The German giant Siemens has announced the extension of its offer dedicated to "Industry 4.0", which the company are calling "Digital Enterprise". The aim of this strategy is to offer companies a digital end-to-end solution. All of these new solutions will be presented by Siemens at the Hannover Messe 2016, which will be held from 25 to 29 April in Hannover, Germany. Siemens' global solution for digital transformation is based on four fundamental pillars:

• Tools & integrated systems;
• Industrial Communication;
• Security Solutions;
• data services.

Siemens have already taken their first step in extending their offer with the recent acquisition of the US company  CD-adapco, which specializes in design engineering software. Many software solutions are already offered by Siemens, particularly in the form of the Siemens Industry Cloud for platform, and the company will soon add solutions for product lifecycle management, production  management and integrated automation . Siemens hopes to provide integrated end to end solutions for the entire life cycle of a plant, and pride themselves on being the first company to do so. All these innovations will therefore be visible in Hannover Messe in April, as Siemens seek to position themselves as a prominent player in the digital transition of plants.
