Flowlity helping to optimise the Covid-19 vaccination supply chain

Flowlity, a French start-up, has developed software to help plan the supply chain for vaccination against Covid-19. As part of the AstraZeneca-led project, INNO’Vaccines, Flowlity aims to help decision-making about how to distribute the vaccine, providing forecasts outlining what products to send where and when. The software developed by Flowlity may prove to be a very interesting asset as part of the vaccination campaig. An artificial intelligence algorithm feeds the Flowlity software, which can then best place the various stocks in the warehouses and give indications for the dispatch and replenishment of these stocks, once the amount of data collected is sufficient. Currently, the company retrieves data from the health authority and public data in order to predict what will be consumed at the various vaccination points and to synchronize the flow of products at the various levels. To do this, Flowlity must be able to access the history of vaccine deliveries and vaccinations. Flowlity also presents itself as a trusted third party in the drive to resolve stocking issues. In June 2019, Flowlity raised 2 million euros in start up funding with the French company hoping to increase its workforce from 20 to 50 employees by the end of 2021. Beyond the INNO'Vaccines project, the start-up would also like to improve the integration of data into its software and to be able to partly automate these tasks.
